Discovering the Canary Islands and Madeira

Enjoy a spell of late autumn sunshine on this 13-night cruise. We sail to the delightful port city of La Coruña, before continuing down to the Canary Islands. We’ll spend a day each in Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, with time to explore their whitewashed towns and sandy beaches. Next up is Madeira, famous for its flower-filled gardens, fortified wine and lush, volcanic valleys. We return by way of Lisbon, with a day to discover the charms of Portugal’s capital.

Day 1 - Southampton

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Southampton, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Braemar (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.

Day 2 - At sea

As we sail to our first exciting destination, you’re free to do as much (or as little) as you wish. Maybe start your day off with a brisk walk around the deck. Or opt for a yoga class. Spend the afternoon learning a craft, or perfecting your golf swing. After your choice of dinner, you can catch a show or dance into the night.

La Corua Spain day 3

Day 3 - La Coruña, Spain

Explore La Coruña’s impressive medieval buildings, stylish modernist houses, and incredible seafront promenade, home to the Tower of Hercules, said to be the only ancient Roman lighthouse in existence. This intriguing port city and lovely beach is a great place to spend today.

Days 4-5 - At sea

Two free days as we continue our cruise. Enjoy hearty breakfasts then take your pick from the variety of activities on board. Show off your general knowledge in an afternoon or evening quiz. Try your hand at bridge, bingo or deck quoits. Or indulge in a traditional afternoon tea to while away your time. Top off each day with a sumptuous dinner or a simple tasty buffet.

Gran Tarajal Fuerteventura day 4

Day 6 - Gran Tarajal, Fuerteventura

Gran Tarajal is a very relaxing place, and it is a joy to wind down watching the local fishermen at work or to stroll along the beach promenade. The main highlight of the town centre is the beautiful fountain with six seahorses spouting water, situated just beside the 20th century church.

Las Palmas day 7

Day 7 - Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

An early arrival into Las Palmas gives you plenty of time to explore the island capital’s hotspots, such as Columbus House and Santa Ana Cathedral. Or admire the spectacular volcanic scenery that surrounds you.

Santa Cruz day 8

Day 8 - Santa Cruz, Tenerife

We dock this morning into Santa Cruz to check out this beautiful island at your leisure. Maybe visit the elegant beach resort of Puerto de la Cruz, the banana and pineapple plantations of the Orotava Valley or the stunning views of Mount Teide.

Funchal Madeira day 9

Day 9 - Funchal, Madeira

Madeira is a sea of colour and glorious perfumes from the subtropical flowers and fruit that bathe in year-round sunshine. Why not visit the array of parks and gardens, or discover the unique subtropical laurel forest.

Day 10 - At sea

Spend the day on board. Maybe read a book and relax or choose to listen to a fascinating talk by a guest speaker. Enjoy lunchtime melodies or a piano recital, then walk a mile with the cruise fitness instructor.

Lisbon Portugal day 11

Day 11 - Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is Portugal’s capital city connected by spectacular bridges, each leading to a collection of museums, art galleries, elegant gardens, ancient castles and superb palaces. Maybe visit the National Coach Museum or simply watch the world go by from one of the city’s art nouveau cafés.

Days 12-13 - At sea

As we sail home you may want to rest after all your sightseeing. If you’re still full of energy, there‘s lots to fill your time - from quizzes, games and music recitals to walks on deck and dance classes. And of course there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy all the tasty food options.

Day 14 Southampton

Early this morning we arrive back in Southampton and your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
