    Day 1 - UK - Amsterdam

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to Dover, where we take a break before boarding our coaches, for the Channel crossing to Calais and onward journey to Amsterdam. Upon arrival, embark our ship, where light refreshments are available.

The iconic Dutch capital isn’t just a city with a pleasant ambience and scenery, it’s distinctive for its quirky character too. The streets are lined with old merchants’ houses, its canals are lined with blossoming trees and its shop windows full of cheeses, chocolates and waffles. Then there’s the fantastic museums and art galleries. We dock overnight so you can explore late into the evening.

    MS River Discovery II (4-star)

  • RDA DAY 2

    Day 2 - Amsterdam - Utrecht

We’ll enjoy the ‘classic’ Amsterdam experience this morning as we sail along the world-famous canals on an included canal cruise. Enjoy the sights in the flourish of spring as we float under pretty bridges and past gabled merchants’ houses.

This afternoon we set sail for Utrecht; one of the Netherlands’ oldest urban centres. Its compact medieval core is decorated with tree-lined canals, where cellar cafes fling their doors open and set alfresco tables up by the waterside.

    • Private Amsterdam canal cruise (morning)

    MS River Discovery II (4-star)

  • RDA DAY 3

Day 3 - Rotterdam (The Hague)

The Netherlands’ second city prides itself on its unique architecture and modern centre. It’s sometimes eclipsed by Amsterdam, but the truth is, it offers an entirely different experience. Unlike Amsterdam, this waterside city has less historic, canal-lined streets and more sprawling parkland, cutting edge design and contemporary culture.

We dock in Rotterdam for its proximity to The Hague, which we discover together this morning on an included tour. As the seat of the government and home to the Royal Family of the Netherlands, this is a stately, regal city decorated with opulent buildings. But it has an eye firmly set on the future, as the host to the United Nations and 160 other organisations dedicated to world peace.

We dock in Rotterdam overnight, so you have the afternoon to explore at your leisure.

    • City tour of The Hague (morning)

    MS River Discovery II (4-star)

  • RDA DAY 4

    Day 4 - Kinderdijk - Dordrecht

We arrive early this morning in Kinderdijk, a beautiful marshland landscape punctuated by 19 traditional windmills. Watch lily pads float lazily on the water and listen for the sound of bird song - it’s a soothingly peaceful and quintessentially Dutch sight. Our included excursion takes you on a guided tour of one of the windmills.

This afternoon we set sail for Dordrecht, known as the oldest city in Holland. Follow the riverbank to the semi enclosed harbour and skip across the bridge to explore the tightly knit alleyways, adorned with vintage and design shops. The buildings are muted in colour but intricately decorated with patterned stonework. It’s a delight to explore. Perhaps head to the Dordrechts Museum or historic Huis van Gijn museum, which houses a big collection of Dutch toys and art.

    • Visit to Kinderdijk windmills (morning)

    MS River Discovery II (4-star)

  • RDA DAY 5

    Day 5 - Ghent

We float into Belgium overnight, arriving in Ghent early this morning. With its largely pedestrianised historic area, this small and cosy city might surprise you with its vibrant centre. Perhaps take a wander along the quayside, once the old medieval harbour of Ghent and lined with elegant mansions. Or you might like to join an optional excursion to neighbouring Bruges.

    MS River Discovery II (4-star)

  • RDA DAY 6

    Day 6 - Antwerp

This port city may be small but that just adds to its charm. It’s vibrant and fun and just the right size to explore on foot. Amble through its cobbled streets on our included city tour, admiring Renaissance architecture and grand gabled houses.

Perhaps peek inside the city’s Gothic cathedral to admire the four masterpieces by Rubens (there’s also a whole museum dedicated to the city’s resident painter) and wander wide-eyed through the city’s famed diamond district - more than 80% of the world’s rough diamonds pass through this district at some point.

We dock here until late this evening, so you’ll have the chance to explore the city by night after dinner.

    • Walking tour of Antwerp (morning)

    MS River Discovery II (4-star)

  • RDA DAY 7

    Day 7 - Brussels (Floralia)

This morning we enjoy an included excursion to the annual Floralia spring flower exhibition - Belgium’s answer to the Netherlands’ sweeping tulip gardens. Held in the castle grounds of the Groot-Bijgaarden complete with a moat and arched bridge, you’ll feel you’ve walked straight into the pages of a fairytale book. The natural woodland setting creates the perfect backdrop for the exhibition, which is a magnificent burst of spring scents and sights from over 400 floral varieties.

The afternoon is for you to spend as you please in Brussels. With art deco facades, regal 19th-century mansions, grand palaces and a swirl of historic backstreets, Brussels is undoubtedly very majestic and beautiful.

We dock in the city overnight, so you’ll have plenty of time to explore its large, cobblestoned squares, grand houses and parkland.

    • Excursion to Floralia spring flower exhibition (morning)

    MS River Discovery II (4-star)

  • VIP Inbound 2

    Day 8 Brussels - UK

After breakfast we board our waiting coaches for the return journey to Calais and Channel crossing. Upon arrival in Dover, your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
