Amalfi, Tuscany & the Italian Riviera

Italy is at its prettiest in the springtime - and this voyage showcases the country’s coastal highlights. We’ll sail past the Amalfi Coast’s pastel-hued villages calling in at Sorrento and Naples. Further north, the colourful harbour towns of the Italian Riviera await. Historic cities including Rome and Genoa are also on our itinerary, plus you’ll have the chance to visit the Tuscan capital, Florence. And on our way to and from Italy, we’ll enjoy stops in Spain and Portugal.

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Dover, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Boudicca (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.

Day 5 - Málaga, Spain

Málaga offers everything you would expect from a city on the Costa del Sol. From golden sandy beaches to local tapas restaurants; there is a wealth of cultural, historical and artistic treasures in equal measure. Perhaps take time to visit the Picasso Museum to see the work of legendary artist, Pablo Picasso.

Day 7 - Mahón, Menorca

Known for its warm sunny climate, British-style Georgian houses and sheltered harbour, Mahón has the biggest natural port in the Mediterranean. You can enjoy your day visiting Santa María Church, City Hall or the many boutique shops on offer. This evening we set sail to make our way towards Italy.

Day 9 - Sorrento - Naples, Italy (overnight)

Overlooking the Bay of Naples, Sorrento is a fantastic place to find Italian architecture and to admire the best coastal views at the bustling meeting point, Piazza Tasso. Once ashore, be sure to look back across the Bay of Naples to savour the incredible views of Capri Island and Mount Vesuvius. Late this evening we dock in Naples for the night. Ship to shore tender service.

Day 10 - Naples

Naples is bustling with a maze of boutique shops and open-air cafés. It’s the gateway to some of Italy's must-see sights like Pompeii and Herculaneum, where the ancient Roman ruins stand preserved to this day courtesy of the ashes of nearby Mount Vesuvius. We sail late this evening.

Day 11 - Amalfi - Cruising Amalfi Coast & Capri

Amalfi's typically Mediterranean architecture, made up of lanes and characteristic white houses piled one upon the other, makes it one of Italy's most famous resorts. We combine this with a cruise past the island of Capri - famed for the Blue Grotto - where sunlight magically creates a blue reflection that illuminates the cavern. Ship to shore tender service.

Day 12 - Civitavecchia (Rome)

Arrive in Civitavecchia, gateway to Rome and the Colosseum and Ancient Forum. The city's great masterpieces of Renaissance and Baroque art and architecture, are emblems of past grandeur and wealth that provide a grandiose backdrop for the elegant designer boutiques, and pavement cafes.

Day 13 - Livorno

This morning we dock in Livorno, a charming city framed by the distant Tuscan hills. You can visit nearby Pisa, a city famed worldwide for the Leaning Tower with an unintended tilt. Or visiting legendary Florence is also possible.

Day 14 - Portofino - Genoa (overnight)

Many artists, celebrities and members of the ‘jet-set’ dock their expensive yachts every summer in the pretty village of Portofino. If you like people watching, this is the place to be. We set sail for Genoa and stay overnight this evening. Ship to shore tender service.

Day 15 - Genoa

The presence of history is beautifully overpowering when wandering the intertwining maze of narrow streets, making Genoa the perfect port of call.

Day 17 - Cartagena, Spain

Stroll round Cartagena’s Old Town, or visit the natural harbour that is watched over by the medieval Castillio de la Concepcion, and enjoy the superb views. Many of the buildings from Roman Cartagena have disappeared, however some important sites remain to explore, including the Amphitheatre dating from around 100 BC.

Day 19 - Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is a delightful mix of palaces, art-nouveau cafés, gardens, splendid bridges and museums - including the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum and the National Museum of Contemporary Art. It’s also a shopper’s paradise, with the Centro Commercial Colombo - the biggest shopping mall on the Iberian Peninsula.

Day 20 - Vigo, Spain

Explore the pretty, old quarter and beautiful neo-classical architecture for which Vigo is known. Or, if you prefer a more relaxed pace, then head to one of the many golden-sand beaches to take a last minute opportunity of sun and sea before starting your journey home.
