Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your flight to Bali.
Denpasar - Sanur
Upon arrival in Denpasar late evening, we’ll transfer to Sanur and our hotel, the Maya Sanur Resort & Spa (5T).
Today is free. Sanur is a town of gentle culture, tropical gardens, white sand beaches, and turquoise sea made even more tempting with a spectacular coral reef. It’s an ideal location to relax and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach boardwalk.
This morning we’ll head to a local food market to learn about the intricacies of Indonesian regional cuisine, and observe the daily trade of exotic fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices that grace Indonesian plates. Back at the hotel, an expert chef will teach you to prepare signature dishes, using time honoured techniques. When the dishes are ready, sit down and enjoy your home-cooked lunch.
An exploration of the southern tip of Bali will first take us to the Royal Temple of Mengwi, a stunning moated complex constructed to symbolise Mount Meru, the mythological home of Hindu gods. Continue to Tanah Lot Temple situated on a tidal coral island, to learn of the seven sea temples of Bali. After lunch we will visit Uluwatu, one of Bali’s most impressive temples majestically perched on the edge of a steep cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Day 6 -7 - Sanur - Benoa (overnight)
We transfer back to Bali’s cruise port, to embark Boudicca (3T+). We’ll remain in port until late tomorrow evening, giving you plenty of time to explore Bali. Untrodden beaches, ancient temples, rice terraces, mangroves and dense forests alive with fascinating fauna and flora, such as Balinese long-tailed monkeys, are just some of the island’s idyllic highlights.
Days 8 - 9 - At sea
Day 10 - Singapore
Experience Asia at its most modern among the towering skyscrapers of Singapore’s bustling Financial District, or perhaps explore Chinatown and see the Sri Mariamman Temple with its strikingly colourful entrance. Day 11 - At sea
Day 12 - Phuket, Thailand
The epitome of paradise, Phuket is sure to delight with glistening clear-blue waters lapping against palm-lined white sand beaches. Relax in the sunshine, or perhaps venture into the island’s capital to see an old town full of colourful 19th century Sino-Portuguese shophouses, and impressive temples and shrines. For breathtaking scenery, take a short speedboat ride to legendary Phang Nga Bay and ‘James Bond Island’, a naturally dramatic bay that featured in The Man with the Golden Gun.
Day 13 - At sea
Days 14 - 15 - Yangon, Burma (overnight)
Yangon (formerly Rangoon) is the increasingly cosmopolitan capital of Burma (now Myanmar), yet it is a city filled with lush green trees, shaded parkland and beautiful lakes. At its centre is the huge Shwedagon Pagoda, a glistening, golden Buddhist monument encrusted with gemstones. Or spend your time in the range of museums and art galleries or haggling in markets.
Days 16 - 18 - At sea
Day 19 - Colombo, Sri Lanka (overnight)
Colombo is a fascinating port capital. The Fort district is Colombo’s old Dutch and British colonial centre, while Pettah is the ancient quarter of impressive temples, mosques, museums and busy street markets. It’s worth visiting the Colombo National Museum and then explore the sprawling Viharamahadevi Park next door, home to a giant Buddha. A more rustic, slow-paced experience can be found in nearby Negombo, with its quaint village streets and lively fish market. Alternatively, sun seekers can venture to Mount Lavinia, a residential suburb located on the beautiful Golden Mile of beaches.
