Singapore is one of Asia’s most vibrant cities where modern skyscrapers blend with its colonial past. We arrive this morning and are transferred to the Concorde Hotel (4T), where dinner is included this evening.
Day 3 - Singapore
This morning, a sightseeing tour will introduce us to the city, passing the Civic District, historic Parliament House and City Hall. A stop at Merlion Park provides superb views of Marina Bay and the Merlion statue, a mythological creature that is part lion and part fish. Visit the Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of Singapore’s oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples, before passing Chinatown on the way to the National Orchid Garden, home to 60,000 orchids. A final stop is made at Little India, before we transfer to embark Westerdam with time to settle in before setting sail this evening.
Day 4 - At sea
Day 5 - Nathon (Koh Samui), Thailand
Step ashore on the spellbinding island of Koh Samui, with quiet white-sanded beaches, coconut trees, beach huts and the glistening blue waters of the surrounding sea. Relax on the beach with snorkelling opportunities all around; or perhaps discover Nathon town, Na Muang waterfall, or view the golden Big Buddha. Ship to shore tender service.
Days 6-7 - Laem Chabang (Bangkok) (overnight)
We dock in Laem Chabang overnight, providing two days to discover Bangkok. Once a small Khmer trading centre, the city has grown into one of the world’s most populous and cosmopolitan cities, with bustling streets and markets standing side by side with serene golden temples. Perhaps discover Bangkok's largest Buddha at Wat Pho, or shop the spectacular Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.
Day 8 - Sihanoukville, Cambodia
Cambodia’s bustling coastal town of Sihanoukville is home to some of the nation’s most stunning coastline, with several beaches each with its own personality. Spend time here relaxing, or exploring the local temples or shopping areas.
Day 9 - At sea
Day 10 - Phu My, Vietnam
Today we dock in Phu My, located 50 miles from Vietnam’s frenetic and bustling Ho Chi Minh City. Tempered by tranquil parks, peaceful pagodas and timeless alleyways, the city formerly known as Saigon is a fascinating mix of high and low, old and new. The best way to explore is on foot - see French-colonial architecture next to glistening modern skyscrapers; shopping centres alongside local markets; and fine-dining restaurants competing with street-food stalls.
Day 11 - Nha Trang
More than just white sanded beaches and tranquil waters, Nha Trang boasts sculpture gardens and parks and a cosmopolitan centre. Venture further than the beaches to discover the Po Nagar Cham Towers, dating back to the 8th century. Many of these wonderful towers are still used for worship today by Cham, Chinese and Vietnamese Buddhists.
Day 12 - At sea
Day 13 - Danang
The port city of Danang has a small-town charm and is home to a stunning 30km coastline. Remnants of the French and US occupations can be seen in the city, from the vast US air base and hospital to the city’s wide boulevards and old villas. Day trips are available to picturesque Hoi An, the old imperial capital of Hue, or the majestic Marble Mountains.
Day 14 - At sea
Days 15-16 - Halong Bay (overnight)
In designating it a World Heritage Site, UNESCO described Halong Bay as a ‘spectacular seascape of limestone pillars’ and its name translates as ‘Descending Dragon Bay’. Spend two days in this mesmerising bay with around 2,000 limestone islands rising above the turquoise waters and crowned with jungle growth. Ship to shore tender service.
Day 17 - Sanya, Hainan, China
Located in the southernmost tip of China’s Hainan Province is the port city of Sanya. With a backdrop of blue-coloured mountains and soft white sands, the beach here is a must and then when your hunger takes over, there are plenty of five-star restaurants in which to try the fresh seafood.
Day 18 - At sea
We disembark after breakfast and join a panoramic tour of Hong Kong, including a one-way journey on the Victoria Peak tram for breathtaking views across Hong Kong harbour. We transfer to our hotel, the Royal Pacific Hotel (4T) and this afternoon is at leisure to make your own discoveries.
Hong Kong - In flight
This morning is free to explore and perhaps do a bit of shopping. We transfer to the airport this afternoon for your return flight to the UK.
Day 21 UK
Upon arrival, your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
