The well-preserved temple is still used today as place of worship by Buddhist monks, who you may see roaming around this glorious site in their brightly-coloured robes. Later, we visit nearby Ta Prohm, the enchanted ‘Kingdom of the Trees’ where temple stones are dominated by the intertwining forest life. Here lays the glorious temple of Banteay Srei, built in the 10th century as a dedication to the Hindu god Shiva. This afternoon we visit an English-language school in the village of Ta Toum.
