Meet the Hall of Famers who love travelling to Europe
You won’t have to go far to breathe in fresh mountain air and look across emerald green countryside laden with wildflowers in Austria, or watch fishing boats bob up and down the glistening sea in the Mediterranean. Or eat delicious cuisine and regional specialties and drink world-class wines. And then there’s the wealth of culture and history - fascinating tales of fallen empires and ancient civilisations, wondrous art and breathtaking landmarks. Meet the Hall of Famers who have travelled all over Europe and discover why they love returning time and time again.
Anthony has travelled with us a staggering 36 times since 1995. In fact, in 2017, he went on a whopping five different holidays with us in one year including the Dolomites in Italy, Corfu and Iceland. Anthony is a solo-traveller and a big fan of European destinations. He reveals that every Tour Manager he has met has made sure that each person in the group is made to feel welcome and included, which is one of the reasons why he loves holidaying with us. Even though he has been all over the world with Titan, Europe is now his main focus because he prefers to explore much closer to home. And he can’t wait to visit Crete in 2021, a holiday he has already booked.
Anthony says: “As I have now reached the grand old age of 80, my travels will no longer be across continents and I will concentrate on European destinations instead, which suits me just fine. The Greek Islands, Sardinia, Corsica and the Canary Islands have been my most recent adventures. The itineraries offered by Titan include varied places of interest, as well as light-hearted moments. I continue to travel with Titan mainly due to the fascinating collection of holidays, the service of staff and their door-to-door travel service. And I think they are all excellent in their fields.”
Nazanin is a self-confessed Europe addict - having been on 14 European holidays with us. When pushed to tell us which European destinations are her favourites she declared that Andalucía in Spain, Croatia and Sicily are definitely in her top three. Although one of her favourite European holiday moments was in Slovenia in Lake Bled, where she couldn’t resist eating the delicious perfectly square Bled cakes. Made up of pastry, eggs, sugar and cream, they are a real Slovenian delicacy and Nazanin admits she had to have a slice or three…
For Nazanin, she says that she loves the diversity, culture, scenery and beauty of Europe, which is why she can’t wait to travel again as soon as she can. “I have had the most amazing holidays with Titan. The tours are all very well organised, the itineraries are full and fantastic but at the same time balanced with some free time. They also have fantastic tour managers. I could never do and see as much as I do on Titan’s tours if I ever wanted to do it them my own!
Even though Rita has travelled with us an incredible 48 times, it’s her last trip to Italy, after she was joined by her daughter and her granddaughter, that holds a special place in her heart. Although, she reveals that they both now want to join her on every Titan holiday. Well, we say the more the merrier, Rita!
Rita has so many highlights that she admits it’s impossible to choose her one favourite holiday. However, being taken on a gondola in Venice and sailing the Rhine and exploring the Christmas markets, are some of her most recent perfect travel moments. In fact, she enjoyed Italy so much, she has booked to return there next year citing her love of history and exploration as the main factors in her decision.
“Until recently, I have always travelled alone, so Titan’s door- to-door travel service has been first class. Also nothing is ever a problem with Titan, and the team make the whole holiday experience a real treat. Over the years I have also made a lot of friends, which makes for a very long Christmas card list!”
Lesley says: “I love travelling in Europe! It is a continent so rich in history, culture and architecture and it has such a wonderful variety of scenery from great rivers and mountains to coastlines and islands. I enjoy the opportunity to meet the local people, sample a range of tempting dishes and cuisines and of course the local wines and beers!”
Lesley has travelled to Europe with us a remarkable 23 times, and some of her favourite holidays include an escorted tour to the Balkans, which gave a fascinating insight into the region’s history. She was also captivated by the beauty of Azores in Portugal and discovering these peaceful and unspoiled islands. You can read more about Lesley’s European adventures here.
If you’ve been inspired to travel to Europe, we have many tours to suit all types of travellers. If you’d also like to be included in our Hall of Fame do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.

Ting has a serious case of wanderlust. Having travelled to over 40 countries, it’s her mission in life to make her way through her ever-growing list. Her two young sons have also caught the travel bug, and recent trips have seen them making snow angels in Iceland while watching the Northern Lights, as well as walking alongside elephants in South Africa.
