We depart Grand Junction this morning passing through stunning views of valleys and canyons and travel towards Silverton to catch the historic Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. We follow the route of the original Denver and Rio Grande Railroad on this coal-fired, steam powered locomotive before arriving in Durango and our hotel, the Durango Downtown Inn.
