    At Titan Travel, we are committed to providing complete peace of mind and protection for your money when you book a holiday with us. Below are some of the questions you may have regarding our holidays and the information of who to contact should you need to.

    Cruise Questions 

    • When will I get my cruise tickets?

      Cruise tickets are sent approx 3 weeks prior to departure. On rare occasions it may be necessary for us to send cruise tickets later than this; due to unforeseen delays.

    • When will I get my Final Itinerary for my cruise?

      Final Itineraries may be sent separately from cruise tickets and therefore should reach you approx 7-10 days prior to departure.

    • What are e-docs?

      Many cruise lines are trying to eliminate the need for excess wastage of paper products and therefore e-docs are an electronic document used by cruise lines so that these documents are able to be viewed online on the internet.

    • When / how can I book optional shore excursions?

      Titan do include some shore excursions within the price of the tour (please refer to the what’s included section in the brochure)

      Most cruise lines do offer additional optional excursions that you are able to pre book either before your holiday or upon embarkation. Titan travel is unable to book optional shore excursions on our clients behalf as cruise lines require payment direct for this Shore excursions that are booked onboard will be added to your onboard account.

      The procedure for booking shore excursions differs from cruise line to cruise line, however a quick guide is featured below:

      NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE – Optional excursions can be viewed and pre- booked online on the Norwegian Cruise Line website approximately 2-3 months prior to departure. In order to book optional shore excursions you will need your Norwegian Cruise Line reservation number, which will be printed on your cruise tickets. Titan travel will also be able to obtain this information for you on request.

      CELEBRITY CRUISES – Shore excursions can be booked online up to 4 days prior to departure at Celebrity Cruises In order to book optional shore excursions you will need your Celebrity reservation number, which will be printed on your cruise tickets

      UNIWORLD – You are unable to pre book shore excursions – all optional shore excursions are bookable onboard.

      FRED. OLSEN – You will be sent optional shore excursion details directly to you from Fred. Olsen approximately 3-4 weeks prior to departure. You are able to pre book shore excursions by emailing Fred. Olsen www.shore.tours@fredolsen.co.uk or contacting them at the following address: Shore Tours Department Fred.       HOLLAND AMERICA - Optional excursions can be viewed and pre- booked online at Holland America approximately 2-3 months prior to departure. In order to book optional shore excursions you will need your Holland America reservation number, which will be printed on your cruise tickets. Titan travel will also be able to obtain this information for you on request.

      HURTIGRUTEN - All optional excursions are available to pre-book through Titan. Please call for details.

       

    • Can I take alcohol onboard?

      We strongly advise against taking your own alcohol onboard with you as the cruise line has the right to remove this from your person upon embarkation. (The cruise line will return this to you at the end of your cruise)

    • Can I smoke onboard?

      All cruise lines now have a strict no smoking policy onboard in public areas. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas on outside decks.

    • How much money will I need onboard?

      All cruise lines now operate a cashless system whilst onboard, alleviating the need to carry money around with you whilst on the ship.
      Many cruise lines charge drinks etc to your onboard account, which you are able to settle by debit/credit card at the end of the cruise.
      If you wish to settle your account in cash, it is possible to do so, however the cruise line will ask for a cash deposit upon embarkation. The deposit amount differs with each cruise line.

    • How much luggage can I take?

      Whilst most cruise lines may allow you to take more than one suitcase onboard without charge, if your holiday includes Titan’s VIP home departure service only one suitcase and one standard piece of hand luggage per person will be permitted.
      Your suitcase should conform to the following dimensions: Height – 58cms (23”) Length – 73cms (29”) Width – 25cm (10”)

    • Can I make any special requests regarding cabin number / specific decks etc?

      Special requests in relation to cabin numbers / specific decks can be made at the time of booking, however please note that even if a cabin number / deck is confirmed the cruise line reserve the right to alter this at any time and is beyond Titan Travel’s control.
      In many cases cruise lines do not allocate cabins until close to departure so therefore, early booking does not necessarily ensure that your request will be met

    • Electrical appliances?

      No electrical appliances should be used in cabins without consulting the cruise line first.
      Irons and kettles are generally prohibited. Most cruise lines have a laundry / dry cleaning service and most offer tea and coffee facilities in public areas/restaurants.

    • Water levels?

      Water levels on rivers can fluctuate on a daily basis and in serious cases it is possible that the itinerary can be affected with little or no warning. Should your ship be unable to follow the planned itinerary, the cruise line will do all they can to ensure all places are visited by alternative means, usually by coach.
      You should note that unless a confirmed new itinerary is issued to us before travel, we are not able to give you prior notice. These changes do not constitute a major change to the holiday.

    • Currency onboard?

      The currency onboard differs with each cruise line, however please see the list below:

    • Hurtigruten – Norwegian Kroner

      Whilst some ships will offer a limited currency exchange facility this is not always possible so we suggest clients take a limited amount of the currency of each port of call you are travelling to.

    • When will I receive my Final Itineraries for my tour?

             You will receive your Final Itineraries approximately 7-10 days prior to departure

    • Will I get a receipt for my payment?

      Receipts for payments are available on request

    • Can I pay my balance online?

      Yes, you can pay your balance in full or part by using our manage my booking service called My Titan. Click here

    • Can I take my child on a Titan Tour?

      We regret we cannot accept bookings for children younger than 12 years of age on the date of departure as the holidays in this brochure are not suitable for children.
      Single parents or other adults travelling with children (under 18 years of age) should be aware that some countries require documentary evidence of parental responsibility before allowing lone parents to enter the country or, in some cases, before permitting the children to leave the country.
      Further information on exact requirements can be obtained from the relevant embassy of the country/countries to be visited. Children must have their own individual British Citizen passport

    • What is my luggage allowance for a Titan Tour?

      Please note that if your holiday includes Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service®, only one suitcase and one standard piece of hand luggage per person will be allowed.
      Your suitcase should conform to the following maximum dimensions: Height 58cm (23"), Length 73cm (29"), Width 25cm (10"). Safety requirements dictate that suitcases may only be stored in the luggage compartment of our vehicles.
      We are unable to accommodate more than one suitcase per person, or any oversized pieces of luggage

      Titan Travel reserves the right to decline carriage and must advise clients travelling with excess baggage, that should separate or additional transport arrangements be necessary, then these will be at the client’s own expense.
      To avoid any problems with our transport arrangements, possible delay to your journey and inconvenience to your fellow travellers, please ensure that these baggage allowance conditions are adhered to

      If your holiday does not entail using Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® then the applicable airline baggage allowances apply as stated on your Final itinerary as certain tours may have luggage restrictions

    • Can I request specific seats on the aircraft?

      These should be advised at the time of booking. Although we endeavor to meet special requests, this is dependent upon our suppliers and we cannot guarantee that your requirements will be met.

      We cannot accept any booking that is conditional upon a special request being met. Requests for extra legroom on aircraft are so frequently requested that it is unlikely to be available. Special meal requests are rarely available on short haul flights.

    • What is your policy on cancellations due to airline strikes/global events?

    • Is my money safe?

      Titan Travel is a trading name of Acromas Holidays Limited, which is a member of ABTA. Acromas Holidays Limited also holds an Air Travel Organizers License issued by the Civil Aviation Authority. Where Acromas acts as the holiday organizer for holidays including air travel ATOL provides protection through the CAA. Holidays not including air travel are covered by ABTA.

      In the unlikely event of Acromas becoming insolvent you would be refunded any money that you have already paid us. Items not directly purchased through Acromas, such as flight, will not be protected under the Acromas, ABTA or ATOL licenses
