Fast growing in popularity as a holiday destination, now is the perfect time to discover the Mediterranean paradise of Croatia. Its coastline is one of the most attractive in the world – ruggedly beautiful beaches overlooking more than 1,000 gem-like islands set in the waters of the Adriatic, which change from ultramarine to azure as they approach the shore. This outstanding highlights tour takes in the grand capital city, Zagreb, the stunning Plitvice Lakes and the royal resort town of Sibenik, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and includes a visit to the majestic, walled city of Dubrovnik and many meals and city tours.

Day 6 Split

A guided sightseeing tour awaits this morning when we will have the opportunity to discover Split’s historic centre, which is located within the walls of Diocletian’s Palace. As its name suggests, the Roman Emperor Diocletian, who was born in Dalmatia, built the Palace in the 3rd century AD and is a combination of an Imperial Villa and Roman stronghold. Through the centuries and under various rulers, including the Byzantine, Venetians and Austro-Hungarians, a city flowered within its grounds. You are free for the rest of the afternoon
