On journeys by coach, steam train and local boat from peaceful Stans in the Tyrol and Salzburg, experience the majesty of the Austrian Tyrol in summer - snow-draped mountains, picturesque farmsteads and wildfl ower meadows reminiscent of cinema classic The Sound of Music - and visit a host of charming, traditional towns and villages including Oberammergau, home of the famous Passion Play.
This morning we make the short drive to Innsbruck for a guided walking tour. The main street of the Old Town is the Herzog-Friedrich Strasse and, close by is the beautiful Baroque Cathedral of St Jacob, built in 1720. The afternoon is at leisure to further explore Innsbruck independently before returning to Salzburg, where you can join a dance evening featuring live music.
