Day 1 London - Miami
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and your direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Miami. On arrival we transfer to our hotel for tonight, the Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach (4T+), an iconic 1940s Art Deco landmark located in the heart of South Beach. We take dinner at our hotel tonight.
Day 2 - Hollywood - Miami
After a leisurely breakfast we depart the hotel and transfer to Miami Port where we embark Azamara Quest® (5T), with time to settle on board before setting sail late afternoon.
Days 3-4 - Havana, Cuba
You have two days to explore the vibrant and stunning port of Havana. Follow in Hemmingway’s footsteps, savour a sample of Cuba’s finest rum and experience the vibrant culture of music and dance that fills every bar, street and restaurant. Forever associated with Castro’s revolution, Cuba’s capital has monuments and museums to the revolution leaders. Its rich colonial history, architecture and lush parks beg to be explored by foot or from the back of a vintage American automobile.
Days 5-6 - At sea
Day 7 - Panama Canal, Panama - Fuerte Amador (for Panama City)
Considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world, the Panama Canal is one of mankind’s greatest accomplishments. We spend today cruising the 48-mile canal, through three locks that lift and lower the ship approximately 170ft, and through beautiful jungle scenery that emits the sounds of the plethora of wildlife within. We complete the transit in Fuerte Amador, where we dock for the night. Experience a included AzAmazingSM evening in Old Panama, where you’ll enjoy a stunning folkloric performance at the Old Panama Cathedral Tower. Enjoy a selection of canapés and drinks, then learn about the rich history of the Panamanian people during a unique folkloric performance.
Day 8 - Fuerte Amador (for Panama City)
Today we have the opportunity to explore Panama City, one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Central America. Be sure to visit Casco Viejo; the historic heart of Panama City is full of incredible architecture from every phase of the neighbourhood’s past, from the busts of Panama’s founding fathers in Plaza Independencia, where you will also find the magnificent Cathedral de Panamá, to the Plaza Francia, dedicated to the French effort to build the Panama Canal. We depart this evening. Ship to shore tender service.
Day 9 - At sea
Day 10 - Golfito
Set against a beautiful backdrop of steep green hills and a pristine rainforest, the port town of Golfito overlooks tranquil Golfito Bay and has some of the best beaches in Costa Rica. As Costa Rica’s only city situated within a protected area, it is home to hundreds of species of rare flora, fauna, birds and animals. You may choose to take an excursion to explore the untouched tropical wilderness of Piedras Blancas National Park, see the San Vito-Wilson Botanical Garden, home to countless colourful plants and birds, or meet the residents of the Rescue Animal Centre - tayra, sloths, and macaws enjoy an amazing rainforest home. We depart this evening.
Day 11 - Quepos
We reach Quepos early this morning, to explore this tropical inlet straight after breakfast. Along the main beach are appealing bakeries, art galleries, gift shops and bars, but many take this opportunity to venture into the surrounding forests - Manuel Antonio National Park is renowned for its beautiful beaches and spectacular hiking trails. Its fragile rainforest ecosystem shelters abundant wildlife in its 683 hectares. Ship to shore tender service.
Day 12 - Puntarenas - Caldera
With a coastline filled with beaches, islands, inlets, and natural treasures, Puntarenas is a gateway to myriad outdoor attractions. Take a catamaran to the nearby Isla of Tortuga for its white sand beaches, snorkelling and swimming, or explore the Mangrove Forest on the north side of the peninsula to see Jesus Christ lizards, crocodiles and more. A short trip away, the Monteverde Cloud Forest has consistent cloud cover or fog, creating an incredible biodiversity with over 2,500 plant species, including a stunning array of orchids, plus over 100 species of mammals and over 400 species of birds. Take a stroll along the Paseo de la Turistas for souvenirs and Costa Rican coffee, or visit the Marine Park to see the diverse Pacific marine life close up. This evening our vessel makes the final journey to Caldera, where we dock overnight.
Day 13 Caldera - San José - In flight
After breakfast we disembark and travel into Carara National Park, an impressive area of lakes, swamps and gallery forests that offer a sanctuary to a wide variety of birds, amphibians and butterflies. We take a Jungle Crocodile Safari tour in search of the river’s largest inhabitants, before transferring to San José Airport for a scheduled British Airways or Iberia flight to London (via Madrid).
Day 14 London
Arrival at London Heathrow Airport where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
