We then continue our journey to Nashville and your base for the next three nights, the Gaylord Opryland Resort.

Day 3 Nashville
Nashville is a city of contrasts, famous as the country music capital of the world and also called the ‘Athens of the South’ having, as it does, the only full scale replica of the Greek Parthenon. This morning we visit Studio B, one of the world’s most important recording studios used regularly by artists like Elvis Presley, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Here you will discover an array of artefacts and memorabilia telling the story of its musical history and the legendary stars. We also take a guided tour which introduces you to the facets of the city including the Parthenon replica, after which the afternoon is at your leisure to explore. Here you will find typical southern civility combined with unabashed good humour.
Day 4 Nashville - Grand Ole Opry
Today is a free day to explore at leisure. Tonight’s included entertainment is a visit to the mecca of country music, the Grand Ole Opry. Enjoy the wide variety of country music and its many colourful performers, as the show is broadcast live, as it has been since it began in 1925.

Day 5 Tupelo - Memphis
This morning we depart south from Nashville via the state of Alabama to Tupelo where we visit the Elvis Presley Birthplace Museum. Later today we complete our journey back into Tennessee to Memphis and the Holiday Inn Select or Sheraton Memphis, located in the heart of downtown.

Day 7 Memphis - Tunica
This morning we visit the Rock ‘n’ Soul exhibition, a fascinating and memorable experience showcasing the Blues of B.B. King to the Rock of Jerry Lee Lewis. You have a further afternoon at leisure then, for those who wish, we journey south into Mississippi this evening, to the historic town of Tunica which has recently become a major gambling attraction with its many Las Vegas-style casinos. Here you are free to gamble or simply relax in the many restaurants available before we transfer back to Memphis and our hotel.
