Day 1 London - Toronto
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Toronto. Upon arrival, we transfer to the Sheraton Centre Hotel (4T).
Day 2 Niagara Falls
Today we have a full day to enjoy the natural wonder of Niagara Falls presenting the chance to admire it from a host of different perspectives - from walkways, underground tunnels and the observation deck of the nearby Skylon Tower. Whichever you choose, makes for memories to last a lifetime.
Day 3 Toronto
Toronto is a friendly and engaging city with plenty to interest the visitor. Our city tour reveals a timeline of urban architecture, from splendidly restored 19th century buildings to ultramodern malls and 21st century skyscrapers. An optional excursion is then available to the top of the CN Tower, for a time the world’s tallest building, piercing the Toronto skyline to a height of 550m. There will be some free time to unwind in the lovely Harbourfront area, before we retire to our hotel.
Day 4 Toronto - Ottawa
Our destination today is Canada’s striking capital, Ottawa, where an orientation tour includes a stop at the imposing Parliament Building, guarded by the instantly recognisable ‘Mounties’ - the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The remainder of the day is free. We stay tonight at the Sheraton (4T) or Novotel Ottawa (4T).
Day 5 Ottawa - Montréal - Colchester
Travelling into francophone Canada, the province of Québec, we arrive at the delightful city of Montréal, which combines the best of the North American lifestyle with the culture and sophistication of France. With an imaginative system of underground walkways and complexes, the city is a pleasure to discover in all weathers. After some free time we rejoin the coach to continue the journey back into the United States, to Colchester and the Hampton Inn (3T) - located just a short drive from downtown Burlington.
Day 6 Colchester - Pittsfield
Vermont is one of the most picturesque and charming of the United States, boasting the scenic splendour of Green Mountain National Forest and myriad delightful towns and villages including Woodstock and Old Bennington, where a traditional white clapboard church, with three-tiered steeple, fronts a cemetery in which the revolutionary founders of the state are buried. We stay overnight at the Crowne Plaza (3T+), Pittsfield.
Day 7 Pittsfield - Boston
En route to Boston, we make stops at two significant battlefields - Concord, where the first shot of the War of Independence was fired, and Lexington, on whose peaceful green that war was also fought. Arriving in Boston for a city tour, you have free time afterwards to explore this most English of cities. Our downtown hotel is the Boston Park Plaza (4T) or Marriott Copley Plaza (3T).
Day 8 Boston
Make your own discoveries of Boston today - shopping, walking its cobbled streets, or simply appreciating its picturesque aspect in Massachusetts Bay.
Day 9 Boston - Mystic
We travel further back through American history this morning, breaking our drive to Mystic with a stop at Plymouth Rock, where the Pilgrim Fathers of the Mayflower were said to have landed in 1620 after a gruelling 66-day journey from Plymouth, England. We also visit Newport, the Rhode Island resort where the richest families of yesteryear built their mansions and estates. Our hotel is the Hyatt Place Mystic (3T+).
Day 10 Mystic - New York
From Mystic, we travel through Connecticut to one of the world’s great cities - New York. Our hotel, the Marriott Eastside (4T), is perfectly located for independent exploration, following an included city tour the remainder of the day is at leisure for you to take your own bites of the ‘Big Apple’.
Day 11 New York
Enjoy another day in the heart of New York. Will you choose to savour the tranquillity of Central Park, visit iconic attractions such as the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building, admire the peerless exhibits of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or hunt for bargains at the sensational department stores - Macy’s, Bloomingdales and Saks? With a world of culinary possibilities, your tour manager will be happy to suggest memorable places to eat.
Day 12 New York - Philadelphia
With so much to experience in New York, you’ll appreciate a further morning here before we journey southwards to Philadelphia. Known as the ‘City of Brotherly Love’, cobbled streets lined with elegant red-brick Georgian buildings are delightful to explore on foot. Our hotel is the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District (3T+), Courtyard Downtown Philadelphia (3T+) or Embassy Suites Philadelphia City Centre (3T+).
Day 13 Philadelphia - Washington DC
This morning we depart for Baltimore, a vibrant city attractively set on the shores of Chesapeake Bay famed for its small town charm, and then we continue to Washington DC, which followed Philadelphia as the nation’s capital, and where our hotel for two nights will be the Washington Marriott Georgetown (3T+) or Marriott Washington Metro Center (4T).
Day 14 Washington DC
A short journey takes us to Washington’s cultural and political centre - the Mall, which comprises two miles of graciously-laid-out gardens and fine buildings dominated by the Capitol Building. To the west is Lincoln Memorial and in between is the famous Smithsonian Institute, which includes the stunning Air and Space Museum. A short stroll takes us to the White House, home of every American President after George Washington. This evening we visit Georgetown, a fascinating community of exquisite houses, shops and restaurants.
Day 15 Washington DC - In flight
Following an excursion to Mount Vernon, the mansion and estate idyllically set on the banks of the Potomac River which was home to the United States’ first president, George Washington, for more than 40 years, we transfer to Washington DC Airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London.
Day 16 London
Arrival at London Heathrow where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
