Day 1 - London - Lisbon, Portugal
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport and a direct, scheduled British Airways or another leading airline flight to Lisbon. On arrival, you will be met by Voyages to Antiquity representatives and transfer to embark Aegean Odyssey (4T).
Day 2 - Cadiz, Spain
You have a choice of two excursions in Cadiz this afternoon. Visit the city considered the oldest continually inhabited place in Europe, before tasting delicious sherries in the home town of world-famous producers, historic Jerez de la Frontera. Or, tour the historic gems of Cadiz, including a tobacco factory built in 1971, the ancient port of La Caleta, Santa Carlos Gate and the idyllic Cathedral of Cadiz.
Day 3 - Málaga
Today you can visit Málaga’s city centre to see the Gothic cathedral and new museums, followed by a panoramic drive capturing views of the city’s Mudejar and Gothic architecture, gardens and parks, and culminating in a visit to the Picasso Museum to discover the various mediums the great artist used through his long and varied career. Alternatively, take a scenic drive to Alhambra Palace - utilised by the Nasris Sultans (1238-1492) to watch over the kingdom and surrounding area - and the wonderful Generalife Gardens, the summer paradise for the Sultans of Granada.
Day 4 - At sea
Enjoy a leisurely day at sea as we sail towards Valencia.
Day 5 - Valencia
There is a choice of two Valencia tours today. Tour the city and visit some of Valencia’s most spectacular monuments including the Plaza de la Virgen Cathedral, 14th century church of the Knights Templar, North Station and Serranos and Quart Towers. Or take a panoramic tour of Valencia.
Day 6 - Barcelona
There are two included excursions to choose from today. Visit Barcino, the Roman city home to a unique underground museum and medieval buildings, or explore the amazing works of art Barcelona has to offer. Tour the Gothic Cathedral, Olympic Stadium and the National Art Museum of Catalunya, where you will find paintings by famous artists; El Greco, Velasquez and Miro.
Day 7 - Sète, France
Choose between two included excursions today. On the first, you’ll explore two Roman cities: the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Carcassonne - home to 52 towers, a castle and miles of battlefields - and Narbonne, the first town to be founded by the Romans in the 2nd century BC. On the second, you’ll see Montpellier, founded by the counts of Toulouse in the 10th century; this historic town has one of Europe’s oldest universities dating back to the 12th century.
Day 8 - Marseille (overnight)
Enjoy a full day exploring the delights of Avignon. The town rose in the Middle Ages when French-born Popes fled Rome and made Avignon a place to rule Christendom, until 1407. See the Pope’s Palace, Great Audience Hall, Palace Square and Horloge Square. Alternatively, spend the day touring Marseille and Aix-en-Provence.
Day 9 - Marseille - Monte Carlo, Monaco (overnight)
Enjoy a leisurely day at sea cruising the French Riviera, arriving in Monte Carlo this evening.
Day 10 - Monte Carlo
Enjoy a walking tour of Monte Carlo taking you to the Prince’s Palace, Oceanographic Museum and 19th century Romanesque Cathedral. Embark on a glorious drive along part of Monaco’s world-famous Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit to Casino Square. In this glamorous setting you are free to explore the attractions at hand such as the Grand Casino, Hotel de Paris and the elegant boutiques, or you spend time absorbing the enriching atmosphere before heading back to the ship. Alternatively, take a scenic drive from the port of Monte Carlo to Nice for a panoramic tour of the city and a ride along the Promenade des Anglais.
Day 11 - Portofino, Italy
Cruise alongside the rugged Italian Riviera coastline of Cinque Terre. These five villages, centuries-old seaside villages are a sight to behold, with brightly-coloured and characterful houses set between vineyards that cling to the steep terraces and harbours occupied by small fishing boats; then enjoy free time in glorious Portofino this afternoon.
Day 12 - Livorno (Florence)
From Livorno, drive through the Tuscan hills to discover the history and art of Florence, a fascinating, timeless city recognised as the birthplace of Renaissance. A guided walking tour will pass Giotto’s Bell Tower, Piazza della Signoria, Florence’s most impressive square and the Gothic Basilica di Santa Croce. A highlight is a visit to the Accademia, Europe's first school of drawing, where Michelangelo's colossal statue of David presides over a rich collection of paintings and sculptures.
Day 13 Civitavecchia - Rome - London
This morning we disembark in Civitavecchia and transfer to Rome Airport for a British Airways or another leading airline flight to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport. Upon arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
