Day 1 - Southampton
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Southampton, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Braemar (3T+) in readiness for an evening sailing.
Day 2 - At sea
Relax on board today, and acquaint yourself with your ship’s extensive facilities. Maybe try out the pool or see what’s on offer in the fitness centre.
Day 3 - Avilés, Spain
This morning we arrive in Avilés, on the coast of Asturias in Northern Spain. The Old Quarter features an impressive collection of historic buildings including the 15th century Valdecarzana Palace and the 17th century Camposagrado Palace. Also of interest is the 13th century Church of Sabugo, dedicated to St Thomas Becket. We leave this evening.
Day 4 - La Coruña
We arrive this morning in La Coruña, a busy port city in Galicia. With its attractive seafront promenade, medieval architecture and sandy beaches, there’s something for everyone here. The old town, Ciudad Vieja, is a pleasant place to wander, with a number of bars and restaurants around the central Plaza de Maria Pita. The centre of the city is home to the city’s most impressive buildings and monuments, including the grand Palacio Municipal. Also worth seeing is the UNESCO-listed Tower of Hercules, a Roman lighthouse. We leave this evening.
Day 5 - At sea
Relax today as we enjoy a day at sea. Perhaps join a Pilates class or catch up with friends over tea in one of the lounges.
Day 6 - Portimão, Portugal
As well as being a centre for sardine fishing, Portimão is also one of the major resorts in Portugal’s sunny Algarve region. The town’s pretty streets are ideal for a gentle stroll and there are many lively bars and charming cafés to enjoy too, as well, of course, as excellent seafood restaurants. The sandy beach is ideal for soaking up the sun, and the town’s modern museum is well worth a visit. We leave this evening.
Day 7 - Seville, Spain
We are in Seville this morning, where we stop overnight. Spread over both banks of the Guadalquivir River, Seville is a glorious mix of grand boulevards, cobbled alleys and pretty squares, while the character and appearance of this beautiful city has been greatly influenced by the centuries of Moorish occupation. Explore the magnificent Alcázar palace complex, dating from the 10th century and much expanded by later Spanish kings, and the 16th century cathedral, one of the largest churches in the world.
Day 8 - Seville - cruising the Guadalquivir River
We say ‘adiós’ to Seville and set sail on the enchanting Guadalquivir is one of Spain’s longest rivers. At its mouth is the vast Doñana National Park - a large area of marshland and sand dunes, home to a rich variety of flora and fauna.
Day 9 - Huelva
Glide into Huelva this morning. Although a mostly modern city, the attractive centre has a number of venerable buildings including the pastel-pink Baroque Cathedral of La Merced and the 16th century church of San Pedro. Huelva Museum has an interesting collection of local archaeological finds, while 7km south of town you’ll find the Monastery of Santa Maria de la Rábida, where Christopher Columbus stayed in 1490. We leave this afternoon.
Day 10 - Malaga
We arrive in the cosmopolitan city of Malaga this morning. You won’t be short of things to see and do here. Perhaps view the paintings, drawings, sculptures and ceramics on show at the Picasso Museum, visit the 11th century Moorish Alcazabar fortress and the elaborate Renaissance-style Cathedral, or take a walk through the lovely Botanical Gardens. We leave this evening.
Day 11 - At sea
Another leisurely day at sea. Perhaps practise your golf swing on deck or settle down with a good book in the library.
Day 12 - Vigo
This afternoon we arrive at our final port of call, Vigo, in Galicia. This busy fishing port has an attractive Old Quarter known as the Casco Vello, where you’ll find the early 19th century church of Santa Maria and several charming plazas with open-air cafés. Also worth a look is the Quiñones de León Municipal Museum, displaying a collection of local archaeological finds and paintings. We leave late tonight.
Days 13-14 - At sea
Enjoy two relaxing days at sea as we make our way back towards Southampton.
Day 15 Southampton
We arrive back in Southampton early this morning, where our staff will greet you and transfer you to Titan transport for your journey home to your own front door.
