Day 1 - Folkestone - Calais - Amsterdam
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home early this morning, for your journey to The Grand Hotel, where you will be greeted by Titan staff and meet your fellow travellers. Enjoy tea and coffee before boarding your coaches for the journey by Eurotunnel from Folkestone to Calais, and onward transfer to Amsterdam. Embark Royal Crown (4T) in time for dinner.
Day 2 - Amsterdam - Utrecht
Enjoy an optional sightseeing tour of Amsterdam with canal cruise or spend the morning at leisure before our lunchtime sailing. The city has several famous museums that may fill your time, such as the Rijksmuseum, holding many well-known pieces including Rembrandt’s ‘Night Watch’. We arrive in Utrecht late this afternoon, where we stay in port overnight. The ornate Dom Tower, standing tall in the centre of the city, provides a useful orientation point for a stroll around this attractive, car-free, ancient town.
Day 3 - Utrecht - Dordrecht
Enjoy a day of cruising, docking in Dorcrecht, a city filled with monuments, for the night.
Day 4 - Dordrecht - Ghent
Spend time exploring the most ancient city in Holland. Dordrecht is bordered by five rivers, making it a natural spot for a trade settlement. You can easily spend the morning wandering along the riverbanks and through the old alleys lined with handsome merchant houses. For those who would like to visit Willemstad, a town with distinctive star-shaped fortifications, a coach will be available to you. We sail to Ghent this evening, where we dock overnight.
Day 5 - Ghent
On an included walking tour, and hours of free time, explore Ghent’s medieval spectacles; Gravensteen Castle is complete with moat, turrets and arrow slits - a quintessential 12th century stone fort. Its imposing beauty makes up for a lack of furnishings. A climb up the 14th century Belfort belfry, topped with an iconic dragon, rewards you with fantastic views over the city. We remain docked overnight.
Day 6 - Ghent - Terneuzen - Antwerp
Early this morning the cruise continues, calling at Terneuzen for an included excursion to Bruges. Through the centre of this medieval town, renowned for its beautiful canals, delightful cobbled lanes link market squares lined with soaring turrets, historic churches and old whitewashed almshouses. We continue to Antwerp for the rest of the day. Belgium’s second city is considered the world’s capital of diamonds due to the majority of these gems being traded in the city. It has managed to retain its medieval heart through a tumultuous past, a fine Gothic cathedral and Renaissance city hall, amongst many other fine pieces of art and architecture throughout. It is also known for its vibrant fashion and art scenes.
Day 7 - Antwerp - Kinderdijk - Rotterdam
On our journey today we have an optional excursion in Kinderdijk, a village that is unique for the 19 windmills dating as far back as 1521 and once used to pump water towards the River Lek. We continue to Rotterdam, arriving late this afternoon. The historical architecture of this city was swept away with the rubble of war, and from it grew this modern, innovative and energetic city.
Day 8 Rotterdam - Calais - Dover
Following breakfast, we disembark and join our waiting coaches for our return journey to Calais and ferry crossing to Dover. Upon arrival at The Grand Hotel, you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
