Day 1 - Liverpool
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to Liverpool, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Black Watch (3T+) in preparation for a late evening sailing.
Days 2-4 - At sea
Our voyage begins with three full days on board, giving you time to relax, settle in and familiarise yourself with the extensive onboard facilities.
Day 5 - Horta, Azores
We dock in the colourful marina of Horta, decorated by superstitious sailors who leave their mark here in hope of a safe voyage. You may enjoy a trip on an observation boat to catch sight of the marine mammals and dolphins which feed around Faial Island. Or an exploration of the island, one of the nine volcano-born, emerald-green Azores, may lead you to scenes of jagged volcanic landscapes or orchards of palms, hydrangeas and traditional windmills.
Day 6 - Ponta Delgada
São Miguel, the largest of the Azores, is an island of dramatic beauty, with lush valleys, hot springs, sandy beaches and magnificent mountains holding huge crater lakes. Its main town, Ponta Delgada, has handsome monuments, beautiful exotic gardens and admirable whitewashed buildings embellished with black basalt stone. Choose to explore the city independently or on a tour, or venture further afield to enjoy the island’s majestic scenery by coach, bike or boat.
Day 7 - At sea
Days 8-9 - Funchal, Madeira (overnight)
Located off the coast of Africa, Madeira’s subtropical climate has created a gorgeous garden island with the year-round colours and perfumes of subtropical flowers and fruit. As a lovely city with timeless charm; stunning walks through laurel forest full of birds; cable car journeys to spectacular viewpoints; and opportunities to treat yourself to afternoon tea or a taste of the famous wine; there are plenty of ways to spend your two-day stop in Funchal.
Day 10 - Cadiz, Spain
Cadiz is one of Europe’s oldest cities and, being almost entirely surrounded by water, became a thriving port during Roman occupation. Its popularity grew again in the 16th century as a launching point for the great journey to the New World. With this strong maritime background, it seems apt that early this morning we meet the rest of the Fred. Olsen fleet in Cadiz to celebrate the cruiseline’s 170th anniversary. Enjoy the festivities on board and on the quayside with the captains and crew, and explore this beautiful city and its landmark cathedral.
Day 11 - Lisbon, Portugal
During your day in Portugal’s capital, stroll through picturesque cobbled alleyways to see architectural wonders such as the fortified Belém Tower and the grand Jerónimos Monastery, both linked closely with Portugal’s magnificent Age of Discovery, or admire modern engineering achievements which include the Ponte 25 de Abril, likened to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. As well as holding numerous museums covering an impressively broad spectrum of interests, the city is also considered a shopper’s paradise.
Day 12 - Leixos (for Porto)
Docking in Leixos, you have the opportunity to discover the charming, hilly streets of Portugal’s second largest city - Porto. Art is everywhere, from walls adorned with impressive hand-painted tiles to neo-classic and tastefully modern statues decorating the city squares. Stroll along the River Douro to spot the giant signs marking the location of famous port wine cellars. Alternatively, Leixoes’ old city is a beautifully ornate and medieval place to experience a little history and culture.
Days 13-14 - At sea
More time to relax on board as we sail home.
Day 15 Liverpool
We disembark after breakfast and you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
