Day 1 - Harwich
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Harwich, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Black Watch (3T+) in readiness for a late night sailing.
Day 2 - At sea
A day at sea to acquaint yourself with the ship’s facilities.
Day 3 - Scenic Cruising
Today we experience some of Norway’s most stunning vistas. Cruise along the stunning Lysefjord, home to the famous Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), the beautiful Kjerag Mountain and intriguing Kjeragbolten - a large round rock wedged high in a mountain crevice.
Day 4 - Flåm - Cruising Nærøyfjord
Flåm is a tiny village in an utterly spectacular setting. Hamlets and orchards reside on the banks of the Aurlandsfjord. The most popular way to see this area is by train, on the famous Flåm Railway as it sends you up the steep mountainsides, through tunnels and over ravines to the thundering Kjosfossen waterfall. For a memorable experience closer to sea level, a boat trip along Aurlandsford rewards you with dramatic views and maybe a glimpse of local wildlife. We continue along Nærøyfjord late this afternoon, where mountains tower up to 1,800 metres above the narrow channel of tranquil waters. It is considered one of the world’s greatest natural heritage sites. Ship to shore tender service.
Day 5 - Olden - Cruising Nordfjord and Hornelen
Amongst green meadows ablaze with summer flowers, is the charming village of Olden, where babbling brooks meander between pretty houses. Its beauty has inspired many, including William Singer, the millionaire founder of the sewing-machine company who resided here. The beautiful Oldedalen Valley extends for 12 miles behind Olden and is an absolute joy to explore. Flanked by huge, near-vertical cliffs and sparkling glaciers, the views the valley offers are a sight to behold. On an adventure through the valley you will also spot the spectacular Lokenfossen Waterfall. Twelve times higher than the famous Niagara Falls, it is one of the most incredible natural wonders in the Nordfjord. Olden is also perfectly placed for tours to the astonishing Briksdal Glacier. Our cruise continues along the glass-like waters of Nordfjord, one of Norway's longest and most picturesque fjords, with the stunning Jostedalsbreen Glacier and Stadhavet Ocean located at either end. We also sail alongside Hornelen, Europe’s highest sea cliff. Ship to shore tender service.
Day 6 - Bergen
Spend today experiencing the charm and tradition of Hanseatic Bergen. The UNESCO- listed Bryggen Wharf is a popular destination, its cobbled alleys and decorated timbered houses are bedecked with pots full of colourful flowers celebrating the arrival of summer. The legendary composer Edvard Grieg lived and worked in Bergen’s Hop district during the summertime. His lakeside home, now a museum to his work, was named ‘Troldhaugen’ after the trolls who, according to legend, lived in the mountains that surround the city. A journey into the mountains will not disappoint for the fantastic views, even if the trolls don’t make an appearance.
