Day 1 - London Tilbury
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to London Tilbury, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Aegean Odyssey (4T) in preparation for an early evening sailing.
Day 2 - At sea
Enjoy a relaxing day on board your ship, with a programme of lectures and activities planned.
Day 3 - Rosyth, Scotland
Early this morning we dock in Rosyth, and from here we head into Scotland’s elegant capital city, Edinburgh. Our guided tour includes a look at Edinburgh Castle and we continue to visit Stirling Castle, one of the biggest in Scotland.
Day 4 - Kirkwall, Orkney Islands
This afternoon we arrive in Kirkwall, Orkney’s capital and largest town. Orkney is renowned for its fascinating prehistoric archaeology, and we will visit the Neolithic Maes Howe burial chamber and the remarkably well-preserved settlement of Skara Brae.
Day 5 - At sea
We spend a leisurely day at sea as we sail northwards to Iceland.
Day 6 - Heimaey, Iceland
This afternoon we make our first port of call in Iceland, at the small island of Heimaey. Our tour today visits Eldfell, a 200m-high volcanic cone formed by a volcanic eruption in 1973, and the sheer cliffs which are home to puffin colonies.
Day 7 - Reykjavik
On today’s guided tour of the world’s most northerly capital city, Reykjavik, we’ll visit landmarks such as the striking Hallgrimskirkja, Iceland’s biggest church, and explore the astonishing natural wonders of the ‘Golden Circle’, including Gullfoss Waterfall, Strokkur geyser and Thingvellir National Park.
Day 8 - Isafjordur
Isafjordur is the largest town on the Westfjords peninsula and is home to some of Iceland’s best-preserved timber buildings. Learn about local maritime history at the Westfjords Heritage Museum, or take a boat trip to the nearby island of Vigur, with its colonies of puffins and Arctic terns.
Day 9 - Akureyri
We sail into Akureyri this morning, at the head of Iceland’s longest fjord, the 60km-long Eyjafjordur. The town’s pretty Botanical Garden is a delight, while out of town, discover the volcanic landscapes around Lake Myvatn, and Godafoss, the ‘Waterfall of the Gods’.
Day 10 - Husavik
Visit Husavik’s Exploration Museum, which chronicles the history of human exploration, from the Vikings to the Apollo astronauts, who underwent training near Husavik in the 1960s. The town is also a centre for whale-watching boat trips.
Day 11 - At sea
Relax on board Aegean Odyssey as we sail the North Atlantic.
Day 12 - Torshavn, Faroe Islands
This morning we reach Torshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands. Enjoy a stroll along the narrow lanes of the Old Town, known as Tinganes and learn about the islands’ Viking heritage at the National Museum.
Day 13 - Lerwick, Shetland Islands
Lerwick, capital of the Shetland Islands, is the UK’s most northerly town and this morning you’ll have time to explore at your own pace. Visit Clickimin Broch, a well-preserved Iron Age fort just outside town, and the Böd of Gremista, a restored 18th century ‘fishing booth’, which now houses the Shetland Textile Museum.
Day 14 - At sea
Enjoy your final day at sea aboard Aegean Odyssey as we make our way back to Tilbury.
Day 15 London Tilbury
After breakfast this morning, disembark Aegean Odyssey, where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
