Day 1 - London - Amsterdam
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Amsterdam. On arrival, our coach will transfer you to embark MS Amadeus vessel (4T), with time to settle in before a welcome cocktail and dinner this evening. Our ship overnights in Amsterdam.
Day 2 - Amsterdam - Utrecht
We have an included morning tour of Amsterdam. The city features beautiful 17th and 18th century buildings; and during our city tour, we see Dam Square, the Royal Palace and the museum quarter, home to the renowned Rijkmuseum. We continue on to Utrecht where we rejoin our ship for lunch, spend the afternoon cruising and enjoy a traditional Dutch folklore show on board.
Day 3 - Cologne
We arrive in the cathedral city of Cologne early to enjoy a full day in one of Germany’s most important trade centres and home to numerous sites of interest including the symbolic Gothic cathedral, one of the largest cathedrals in Europe, which we will visit on our included guided walking tour. We sail in the early evening.
Day 4 - Koblenz - Rüdesheim
Early morning arrival in the 2,000-year-old-city of Koblenz, where you can spend a couple of hours making your own explorations of the town’s historic old quarter. We then enjoy a daylight sailing along the most beautiful part of the Rhine, passing many castles nestled amongst famous vineyards and the legendary Lorelei Rock. Later this afternoon, we arrive in one of the Rhine Valley’s prettiest towns, Rüdesheim, famed for its winemaking tradition dating back to Carolingian times. We take a guided walking tour, including a visit to Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum before we set sail later this evening.
Day 5 - Miltenberg - Wertheim
This afternoon we have an included visit to the attractive town of Miltenberg, defined by the river, the medieval town and its wooded hillsides. We take coaches to Wertheim, where we visit the local glass museum before rejoining our ship and setting sail in the early evening.
Day 6 - Würzburg
The Würzburg Residence Palace is a masterpiece of the southern German Baroque, and was built at the beginning of the 18th century as one of the most important Baroque castles by Balthasar Neumann. We visit the palace on a walking tour and afterwards experience the many beautiful sights in the old town. We will also enjoy a wine tasting in a well-known wine estate.
Day 7 - Bamberg
This afternoon we arrive in Bamberg, where we have an included guided walk of the UNESCO-listed town, with its historic old quarter, churches and monasteries, bridges, attractive narrow streets and squares. Today, you will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal, with an informative lecture on board.
Day 8 - Nuremberg
We arrive in Nuremberg and enjoy a city tour, which will introduce its highlights from its medieval beginnings to the present. We end the tour in the main market, where you will have free time to do some shopping or relax with a coffee before the coach returns to our ship.
Day 9 - Kelheim - Regensburg
A morning arrival in Kelheim, where we disembark to visit the Benedictine Abbey of Weltenburg. Later, we continue to Regensburg, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Germany, where you may wish to take an optional walking tour. Among its architectural treasures are cathedrals, churches, monasteries, the town hall and one of Europe’s oldest bridges that has spanned the Danube since the 12th century. This evening, we enjoy Bavarian entertainment on board.
Day 10 - Passau - Linz
This morning, we arrive in Passau, situated at the confluence of three rivers - the Danube, the Inn and the Ilz. There is an included city walk here, before continuing to Linz for a walking tour.
Day 11 - Melk/Emmersdorf - Dürnstein
This morning there is an included visit to Melk Abbey, an Austrian Benedictine abbey and one of the world’s most famous monastic sites. Take a guided tour and there may be an opportunity to hear an organ recital in the abbey church (not guaranteed). Later take an included walking tour of Dürnstein, one of the best-known wine villages in the UNESCO-listed Wachau Valley.
Day 12 - Vienna
Vienna is the city of the waltz, the Spanish Riding School, Sacher Torte and the famous Vienna Boy’s Choir. We enjoy an included city tour, taking you to the Ringstrasse. The last stop is the famous St Stephan’s Cathedral. This afternoon a visit to the stunning Schönbrunn Palace is also included. Ship sails late tonight.
Day 13 - Bratislava
Early morning arrival in Bratislava, nestling in the foothills of the Carpathian mountains. On our city tour, we travel to the Castle of Bratislava, high above the city and giving you fantastic views. Captain’s gala dinner this evening.
Day 14 - Budapest
This morning we enjoy a city tour of Budapest, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. From the top of castle hill, you have a beautiful view of the chain bridge, parliament buildings, the Danube and Pest. You will explore the interior of Matthias Church. This afternoon enjoy an included tour of Szentendre. This evening we enjoy a memorable evening cruise and folklore programme.
Day 15 Budapest - London
After breakfast we disembark and transfer to Budapest Airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London Heathrow. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
