Day 1 - London - Berlin
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for the journey to London Heathrow Airport and a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Berlin. On arrival, we transfer to the port to embark MS Johannes Brahms (3T+), with time to settle before dinner.
Day 2 - Berlin - Potsdam
This morning we take an included tour of Berlin. This creative, lively city maintains an unpretentious charm while embracing cutting-edge architecture and a vibrant culture. It is home to 44 theatres and stages, seven symphony orchestras and over 400 art galleries. You cannot ignore the history of this city, and a visit to the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie and the Jewish Museum are all fascinating. As we enjoy lunch back on board, our cruise begins to Potsdam, a city of palaces and parks. We arrive later this afternoon and remain overnight.
Day 3 - Brandenburg
Sailing early this morning, we arrive in Brandenburg over lunch to spend the afternoon exploring this pretty city with stately red-brick architecture and a history shaped by the Havel River that flows around its centre.
Day 4 - Magdeburg
We dock in Magdeburg after a morning of cruising, named the ‘city of spires’ due to its assortment of turrets and steeples. The city has suffered from several wars but some of its historical landmarks have stood for centuries, including the Dom and medieval monastery.
Day 5 - Wittenberg
We arrive in quaint Wittenberg this morning, a critical milestone in the history of Christianity. Take an optional guided walking tour to follow the footsteps of Martin Luther, visiting the Castle Church on whose doors he posted his 95 theses which sparked the Protestant Reformation and the Luther House. Our cruise continues late this afternoon.
Day 6 - Meissen - Dresden
Meissen, a city with a 1,000-year history, sits on the end of Saxony’s Wine Road. We have an optional excursion to the famous Meissen Porcelain Centre. Porcelain has been made here for over 300 years, the first manufactory in Europe. We continue to Dresden where we remain overnight.
Day 7 - Dresden
While in Dresden, we take an included tour of this fascinating city, and an excursion to Colditz Castle. In its thousand year existence, the castle has witnessed a diverse range of uses, from a Royal Hunting Lodge to a psychiatric hospital, but it is best known as the most notorious PoW camps in World War II. The isolated castle was declared escape proof but over 300 attempts were made and 31 of them were successful. Enjoy an afternoon of scenery as our cruise continues.
Day 8 - Decín - Usti - Melnik
The ship departs early to cross the Czech border and allow a morning of exploration in Decín. This old royal town grew under the eye of Decín Castle, an elegant estate atop a rocky plateau. We continue to Usti to embark on an included excursion to explore the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. This national park is one of the most unique regions of natural beauty in Germany, with an extraordinary variety of terrain with plains, ravines, forest and mountains. We continue to Melnik where we remain overnight.
Day 9 - Melnik - Prague
Enjoy a morning of particularly scenic cruising on the Vltava River before a lunchtime arrival in Prague. Enjoy a tour of the city including the famous Charles Bridge and Astronomical Clock as well as the Old Town.
Day 10 Prague - London
We disembark this morning and transfer to Prague Airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London Heathrow. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
