Day 1 - London - Amsterdam
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport and a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Amsterdam. Upon arrival, we transfer to embark your Amadeus vessel (4T), with a cocktail before a welcome dinner.
Day 2 - Amsterdam - Hoorn
Today you can join an included city tour and canal cruise of Amsterdam which takes in many of its important landmarks. The capital of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is one of the most important urban destinations in Europe, home to more than 2,000 architectural monuments, world-class museums and historical canals, Amsterdam offers a very special and cosy atmosphere. Also included is an excursion to Holland’s Waterland.
Day 3 - Cologne
We arrive into Cologne after lunch and an included walking tour will take you through the Old Town to the magnificent Gothic cathedral that dominates the city skyline. A masterpiece of the high-gothic period, it is one of the largest cathedrals in Europe and attained even greater status after the Second World War, as it remained standing proudly amid the ruins of the city centre. We depart early evening.
Day 4 - Cochem
After a scenic cruise along the Moselle River, we reach magnificent Cochem after lunch, for an optional walking tour through the city’s winding streets of half-timbered houses. A visit to this region would not be complete without the wine tasting included on this tour.
Day 5 - Koblenz - Rüdesheim
We arrive in Koblenz early this morning, one of Germany’s oldest cities with a history dating back to Roman times. Here we have an optional walking tour of the city, which combines sights from the Kaiser Wilhelm monument at the Deutsches Eck to the city’s main landmark - the Schängel Fountain near city hall. We sail on for Rüdesheim, where you can take an optional city walk of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, lying in the midst of the Rhine Gorge winemaking region. The tour includes entrance to Siegfried’s Music Museum which holds an impressive collection of automated musical instruments.
Day 6 - Mannheim - Heidelberg - Speyer
We arrive early into Mannheim, from where we transfer for an included walking tour through the Gothic streets of Heidelberg which have inspired numerous artists, poets and many important academics who resided here. After lunch we depart for the Celtic city of Speyer, for an optional city walk. Enjoy the Captain’s Gala Dinner this evening.
Day 7 - Strasbourg
This morning will be spent in the fascinating city of Strasbourg, a city alive with French and German influences. The capital of Alsace, Strasbourg, is a city of great importance both historically and today, as the home of the Council of Europe. Take an included city tour encompassing many sights including Strasbourg Cathedral, one of the most beautiful buildings in eastern France, and the old town - known as ‘Petit France’.
Day 8 Basel - Lucerne - Mount Rigi
We disembark and transfer to Lucerne. From there, enjoy an included guided excursion to Mount Rigi. After a pleasant cruise across the lake to Vitznau, we board the famous mountain train to the summit of Mount Rigi. Here, you can enjoy the wonderful views and free time for lunch, before descending on the cable car to Weggis, where our coach awaits. We transfer to our historic hotel, the Wilden Mann (4T) or Astoria Luzern (4T), where we enjoy superior rooms and included dinner.
Day 9 Lucerne
Lucerne is a delight to explore, and this morning’s guided walking tour will take you through its quiet lanes, attractive squares and picturesque bridges. This afternoon and evening you are free to enjoy the wonderful lakeside setting, where you will find plenty of pavement cafés and cosy bars serving excellent local fare.
Day 10 Lucerne - Zurich - London
We transfer to the airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
