Day 1 - Southampton
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to Southampton, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Braemar (3T+) in readiness for an evening sailing.
Days 2-3 - At sea
Day 4 - Cruising Flensburg Fjord - Flensburg, Germany
We glide through the Flensburg Fjord this morning, a stretch of water that forms part of the border between Denmark and Germany, sailing past charming towns, before reaching Flensburg, Germany’s northernmost mainland town. Spend time exploring Flensburg’s pretty waterfront, with its many cafés and restaurants or browse the extensive art collection at Flensburg Museum. We leave this evening, cruising back along the fjord.
Day 5 - Travemünde
This morning we arrive at Travemünde, a pleasant seaside resort with a well-preserved Old Town. In the harbour you can visit the Passat, a four-masted barque, built in 1911 and now a floating museum or you could head to nearby Lübeck, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lübeck is also famous for its marzipan, and there are plenty of shops where you can sample this sweet treat.
Day 6 - Kiel Canal transit - Hamburg (overnight)
Today, our vessel transits the Kiel Canal, the world’s busiest manmade waterway, which runs for 98km through Schleswig-Holstein, linking the Baltic with the North Sea. We arrive in Hamburg late tonight, for the first of two nights here.
Day 7 - Hamburg (overnight)
We have a full day to explore Germany’s second-largest city, Hamburg - a busy, cosmopolitan city with a rich history. The grand 19th century Town Hall, the Baroque St Michaelis Church and Miniatur Wonderland, are all worth a visit, as is Hamburg’s ‘green heart’ - the attractive city-centre park known as Planten un Blomen.
Day 8 - Hamburg - cruising Elbe & Weser Rivers - Bremen (overnight)
Leaving Hamburg this morning, we set sail on the River Elbe, passing historic towns and a number of little islands on the way. We join the River Weser in the afternoon, arriving in Bremen this evening.
Day 9 - Bremen - cruising Weser River
Braemar is one of only a few cruise ships that can sail all the way along the river to the centre of Bremen, thanks to her smaller size and shallow draft. This beautiful Hanseatic city is home to some incredible Gothic architecture, including the 15th century Town Hall - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In contrast, Überseestadt - the former docklands - offers a completely different experience, with a selection of stylish cafés and fine restaurants to enjoy, as well as a beautiful harbour.
Day 10 - At sea
Day 11 Southampton
We arrive back in Southampton early this morning, where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
