Day 2 - Rouen, France (overnight)
Arrive in the grand ‘museum city’ of Rouen located on the stunning River Seine. Dating back 2,000 years, the city itself has its unique history presented through the fascinating monuments found here, such as the soaring Gothic Cathedral of Rouen - which inspired Monet to paint over 30 canvasses - the Church of Saint Maclou and the striking Roman Catholic Church of Saint Ouen, with its striking stained-glass windows and impressive Cavaillé-Coll organ. Tour the narrow pedestrianised streets decorated with pretty half-timbered houses to discover the numerous fascinating museums scattered throughout the city centre, or visit Jardin de Plantes de Rouen - the city’s exquisite botanical gardens home to 600 plant species flourishing in the rock garden, rose garden and medicinal plant garden.
Day 3 - Rouen - Cruising River Seine - Honfleur (overnight)
This morning we depart from the beautiful city of Rouen to cruise along the fantastic River Seine, France’s second-ongest waterway home to lush-green countryside, historic cities and views of breathtaking unspoilt scenery. Early afternoon we arrive in the delightful countryside port of Honfleur and dock overnight, giving you plenty of time to discover the charming little town here.

Honfleur has long been an attraction for painters and poets with its warm atmosphere, wealth of culture and inspiring artistic heritage. The quaint town boasts beautiful 15th and 16th century architecture along with a delightful fishing harbour decorated with colourful yachts, picturesque cobblestone streets and impressive lofty slate-and-timber fronted houses. The town’s architectural masterpiece, Saint Catherine’s Church, is France’s largest timber-built church with a separate bell tower and dates back to the 15th century. A highlight is the 17th century Notre Dame de Grâce, a mesmerising 17th century chapel holding beautiful paintings, plaques and models as well as superb views of the town centre, Seine estuary and the Normandy bridge.
