Day 1 - London Tilbury
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Tilbury, where our staff will greet you and assist with embarking Black Watch (3T+) in preparation for an evening sailing.
Day 2 - Zeebrugge (for Bruges)
Our first continental stop is Zeebrugge, itself a pleasant port town but more notable as the gateway to the fairytale charms of Bruges, just 10 miles south. This postcard-perfect town of tranquil canals, bustling market squares, cobbled streets and ancient towers seems little changed since its medieval heyday, and indeed has earned UNESCO World Heritage status for its historical and architectural significance.
Day 3 - At sea
A day at sea invites exploration of Black Watch, your home from home for the week. There are four lovely restaurants to try, each with its own ambiance and range of specialist dishes. Relax with a drink from the Marquee Bar and a book from the well-stocked library. Savour a premium afternoon tea and, in the evening, enjoy an extravaganza of music, dance and comedy in the Neptune Lounge.
Day 4 - Hamburg, Germany (overnight)
With a maritime heritage dating back 700 years, the Hanseatic city of Hamburg is one of Germany’s most interesting destinations. Discover a romantic network of canals and bridges, lined with beautiful buildings and monuments. But Hamburg has always had an eye for the new and exciting - this is where the Beatles first found fame, for example - and the modern districts of the city are just as enthralling as the old, with stylish shops and lively bars and restaurants vying for your attention. We dock overnight.
Day 5 - Hamburg - Elbe river cruise
There is time this morning to see more of Hamburg or simply unwind aboard Black Watch. In the afternoon, we cruise a scenic section of the Elbe, one of the great rivers of Europe, which carves its way from the Czech Republic though Germany to the North Sea. Dotted with pretty towns and villages, and fringed with tall, verdant hills, an Elbe cruise presents a different perspective on the picturesque countryside of Northern Europe.
Day 6 - North Sea Canal transit - Amsterdam, The Netherlands (overnight)
A different kind of waterway altogether, the 16-mile North Sea Canal is an engineering marvel, one of the continent’s most important shipping lanes and direct link between the North Sea and Amsterdam. Despite its industrial function, there is much to admire as we cruise the North Sea Canal, from Second World War fortifications to attractive beaches and nature reserves. We arrive in Amsterdam early afternoon - another city of canals and another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Dutch capital is cultural treasure-house and a breathtaking spectacle in its own right.
Day 7 - Amsterdam
How will you spend a further morning in Amsterdam? Visiting the poignant Anne Frank House, where the teenage diarist and her family hid from the German occupiers during the Second World War? Admiring iconic works of art at the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum or the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art? Or simply sitting back in one of the charming canal-view cafes soaking up the city’s unique atmosphere? Black Watch sets sail for the UK this afternoon.
Day 8 London Tilbury
We disembark after breakfast and you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
