At London Tilbury Port, embark Columbus (3T) in preparation for an afternoon sailing.
Day 2 - Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Famed for its charming tree-lined canals, pretty bridges and idyllic gabled houses, the Dutch capital makes a perfect day for exploring. Amsterdam’s highlights include The Royal Palace - a beautiful structure built in the 17th century as a Town Hall, and its fantastic array of galleries and museums including the Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum.
Day 3 - At sea
Relax on board Columbus today, perhaps taking a dip in one of the pools or enjoying the live entertainment in the lounges.
Day 4 - Christmas Eve - At sea
Spend this Christmas Eve sailing towards Gibraltar.
Day 5 - Christmas Day - At sea
Happy Christmas! Spend a memorable Christmas Day at sea, enjoying Christmas lunch with festive cheer.
Day 6 - Boxing Day - Gibraltar
Having been under British rule for the past 300 years, Gibraltar is the perfect home away from home for visitors especially with its adored Mediterranean climate. The land is dominated by ‘The Rock’; a towering 1,400ft limestone outcrop which divides the Mediterranean from the Atlantic. While here, there is plenty to explore, visit the Siege Tunnels, St Michael’s Cave, see the island’s famous Barbary apes or simply wander around the familiar shops.

Day 8 - Santa Cruz, Tenerife
Tenerife, the largest island in the Canaries, is home to awe-inspiring landscapes and the incredible Mount Teide. Its capital, Santa Cruz, is the port of call this afternoon and there’s plenty to see including a variety of museums, beautiful churches and an abundance of shops and delightful restaurants. You might also like to visit the exotic gardens of Garcia Sanabria Park, an exquisite public park located in the heart of Santa Cruz displaying a beautiful array of greenery, flowers and fountains.
Day 9 - Arrecife, Lanzarote
Having first been established on maps in the 15th century as a small fishing harbour, Arrecife is now the capital of Lanzarote and has been since 1852. Visit Lanzarote’s main shopping street, Arrecife’s Calle León y Castillo - locally known as Calle Real - which offers a fascinating variety of shops, making it the perfect place to indulge in some delightful shopping.
Day 10 - Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria’s popularity is easy to understand, with its desired sub-tropical climate, luxurious sandy beaches and incredible array of attractions. The capital of Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, has much to offer including tranquil parks and fascinating plazas decorated with flora. You might want to stroll to Vegueta, the historic centre decorated with 500-year old architecture and historic buildings along with outstanding museums including the Christopher Columbus Museum and the El Museo Canario, which famously showcases historic relics owned by former occupants of the island. We sail early afternoon.
Day 11 - New Year’s Eve - Funchal, Madeira
Madeira’s idyllic capital, Funchal is known as the ‘floating garden of the Atlantic’ due to its unique and fascinating display of flora. We stop at the harbour which is perfectly located in the centre of the town; here you can admire the whitewashed buildings decorated with red tiled roofs that are scattered across the lush green mountain. You might want to venture on a picturesque cable car journey above the busy city of Monte to capture and enjoy striking views of the island. This evening bring in the New Year with one of the world’s largest New Year’s Eve firework displays, from the decks. Ship to shore tender service.
Day 12 - New Year’s Day - At sea
After the previous evening’s festivities, enjoy free time aboard Columbus.
Day 13 - Lisbon, Portugal
The westernmost capital in Europe, Lisbon holds a fascinating history as it is the place where the Caravels set sail on their voyages to the New World which can be seen in the numerous monuments highlighting Lisbon’s wonderful maritime history. This morning, you might want to stroll the charming, cobbled streets of the ancient Moorish Alfama district leading to outstanding viewpoints over the pretty city.
Days 14-15 - At sea
Day 16 London Tilbury
Arrive at London Tilbury Port.
