Our range of holidays in China are grand adventures, with coach tours bringing visitors to every legendary highlight of this vast country - showcasing both the splendours of the past and an exciting modern charm.

Because of the sheer distances involved in traversing China, sections of our coach trips are connected by plane - including our flagship tour, 'The Wonders of China', in which visitors arrive in Beijing and explore for several days before flying south to the city of Xi'an (home to the famous Terracotta Army - and finally onto Shanghai. Some of our most popular tours involve transfer from the road to the water - and sections of travel through spectacular river environments. On 'The Mighty Yangtze River and the Best of China' tour, visitors spend time exploring Beijing and Xi'an by coach, before joining their luxury cruise vessel in the river port of Chongqing and following the Yangtze on an epic journey east to Shanghai.

On a Titan tour, visitors immerse themselves in the grandeur of China's legendary past. In Beijing, lavish spectacles wait around every corner; must-see attractions include the Imperial Gardens, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City: a sprawling network of imperial palaces home to no less than twenty four emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Great Wall of China continues this trip back in time - only a short coach journey north of the city, the famous landmark represents a unique historical experience and is one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world.

Our coach and cruise tours reach as far as the city of Shanghai on the coast of the East China Sea. The famous modern skyline of Shanghai hides a city bustling with charm and character. Explorations of the city mix the past, present and future: from the glossy modernity of the Pudong financial district, to the ornate and ancient Yunyan Gardens and The Bund waterfront, showcasing hundreds of years of Shanghai's history through a variety of stunning buildings.

On the Yangtze River, cruises take visitors through across hundreds of miles of China's unspoilt natural wilderness and include stops at the historic cities of Nanjing and Wuhan, the sacred mountains of Jiuhaushan and the stunning Three Gorges - where an epic man-made damn complements a landscape of thriving natural beauty perfect for sightseeing.

One of the most sensational destinations on any tour of China is Xi'an - and its spectacular Terracotta army. The incredible archaeological find dates back to 246 BC and comprises over 7000 terracotta soldiers, horses and chariots across several excavation pits. Visitors to the site may explore their surroundings, which include the Lushan Gardens, the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum and the Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors - all dedicated to the ancient pottery army.
