Flight time

From London to Cairo is approx 4 hours and 45 mins

Egypt's capital is a must-visit destination for an introduction to the country's ancient history. During one of our Cairo Tours, you will be able to take in the iconic sight of the Giza Pyramids - which is one of the greatest world wonders - as well as other attractions such as the 12th-century Citadel of Salahal-Din and the spectacular 19th-century Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha.

You can’t travel to Cairo and not haggle for bargains at the Khan el-Khalili bazaar and see some of Egypt's most significant artefacts and treasures at the Egyptian Museum, where exhibits include items discovered by Howard Carter in King Tutankhamen's tomb.

The Pearl of the Mediterranean offers the perfect combination of historic attractions and coastal beauty. Established in 331 BC by Alexander the Great, Alexandria is home to Pompey's Pillar, a massive Roman column measuring more than 20 m in height. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina offers a wonderful contrast to the traditional architecture that populates the city; its newest building was built in 2002 and is the world's largest reading space.

Other must-see sights to take in on one of Titan’s Alexandria tours include Abu Al-Abbas Al-Mursi Mosque, the Alexandria Opera House and the Catacombs of Kom el-Shouqafa, which were originally constructed to hold more than 300 mummies.

Those intrigued by the story of Antony and Cleopatra may find particular interest in a visit to Alexandria; the seas around the city are believed to be the location of the submerged remains of the mausoleum that the queen built for herself.

Luxor is home to an impressive array of ancient monuments, structures and sites. The Valley of the Kings harbours tombs belonging to kings and noblemen who died between the 16th and 11th centuries BC, including that of Tutankhamen.

The Valley of the Queens is where you will find the resting places of pharaohs' wives and princesses, with the tomb of Nefertari - wife of Ramses - being the most popular among tourists. Nearby lies Deir El Bahri, Queen Hatshepsut's mortuary temple, along with the awe-inspiring Colossi of Memnon.

Other highlights of one of Titan’s Luxor holidays include the impressive Temple of Luxor and the equally unforgettable Temple of Karnak, two of the most significant historic sites in the whole of Egypt.
