Treasured Islands, Barbados and the gems of the Southern Caribbean Itinerary

Day 1 London - Miami - Key Largo

Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service® transports you from your front door to London Heathrow Airport and our scheduled British Airways or Virgin Atlantic direct fl ight to Miami. On arrival our coach will transfer you to the 4★ Hilton Key Largo Resort, nestled on 13 acres of tropical forest at the edge of the Everglades National Park and within steps of the idyllic white-sand beaches of Key Largo.

Day 2 Key Largo

Today is free for you to relax and unwind at the resort. The sandy beach at the resort is an excellent place to relax with a good book in the shade. Perhaps spend the day on the beautiful white sandy beaches or take the opportunity to visit the nearby Everglades National Park, the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. This evening, take the opportunity to watch the sun set with a cocktail from the Waves Beach Bar, then maybe dine at the Treetops Bar & Grille, serving a selection of prime beef and seafood.

Day 3 Key West

Today we enjoy a full day’s visit to the fabulous Key West, the southernmost city in the Continental US. We take the conch train, a trolley tour, which explores the island and affords views of ornate Victorian mansions, tin-roofed conch houses and many historical sights. This afternoon we visit Ernest Hemingway’s home, located in the very heart of Old Town Key West where the Noble Prize winner lived and wrote with his many cats for more than ten years. We return to our hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 4 Key Largo Miami

This morning is at leisure before our coach transfers us to the Port of Miami to embark the splendid Norwegian Sun, in readiness for a late afternoon sailing.

Day 5 - 6 At Sea

Two days to aquaint yourself with the superb facilities and range of activities that are available for you onboard Norwegian Sun. The ultra-wide pool deck offers two swimming pools and fi ve hot tubs with plenty of sunloungers for you to relax on with a good book. At mealtimes you have a range of dining options to choose from. And for an additional cover charge, you will have access to a world of possibilities including gourmet French, Japanese Teppanyaki and an upscale steakhouse.

Day 7 St Thomas, US Virgin Islands

We arrive this morning in the popular port of St Thomas. This is an island that offers something for everyone, including duty-free shopping, the world-famous beach at Magens Bay and a scenic tram ride to a mountaintop for panoramic views. Alternatively, you may prefer to explore St Thomas’ quieter, more undiscovered side, including a lovely historic district or take a trip to Water Island, the north shore beaches and fabulous restaurants in French town.

Day 8 Roseau, Dominica

This morning we arrive in this unspoilt isle that the Smithsonian Institute called a giant plant laboratory, unchanged for 10,000 years. This is an island of rainforest, dense lush vegetation, waterfalls, freshwater pools and bubbling hot springs from the active underwater volcanoes. It is also home to the last remaining Carib Indians whose ancestors gave the Caribbean its name.

Day 9 Bridgetown, Barbados

Today we arrive in Barbados, where you will be able to explore the island’s vibrant capital, Bridgetown. In the centre of town, overlooking the harbour is Trafalgar Square with its impressive monument to Horatio, Lord Nelson. Nearby Broad Street is the principal shopping area and island handicrafts are everywhere - woven mats, dolls, jewellery, handbags, artwork and items made from wood, straw and ceramics. Whilst here, perhaps take an excursion to the otherworldly chambers of Harrison’s Cave, a naturally formed phenomenon where you can see bubbling pools, craggy stalactites and streaming waterfalls.

Day 10 Castries, St Lucia

This morning we arrive in Castries on the lovely island of St Lucia, dominated by the twin peaks of the famous ‘Pitons’ and renowned for its dramatic beauty and spectacular scenery. A few miles to the south is Marigot Bay, one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful secluded harbours and the road up the Hill of Good Fortune, lined with frangipani, lilies, bougainvillea, hibiscus and oleander, takes you to Fort Charlotte for spectacular views of the island of Martinique to the north.

Day 11 Philipsburg, St Maarten

This morning we arrive in St Maarten; one island, two countries. The Dutch capital of Philipsburg is a bustling town with a delightful mix of Dutch and West Indian architecture. Take an excursion to visit both the Dutch and French side where in the French colonial capital of Marigot, you enjoy the open-air cafes, pastry shops, quaint boutiques and outdoor handicraft stalls.

Day 12 - 13 At Sea

Enjoy your last two days at sea, as the Norwegian Sun cruises back towards Miami. Perhaps indulge yourself with a luxurious treatment at the Body Waves Spa, or simply relax on deck in the sunshine with a good book from the well-stocked library.

Day 14 Miami

An early morning arrival in Miami, where we disembark after breakfast and are taken by coach to central Miami for some last minute shopping. Later this afternoon we are transferred to Miami airport for our scheduled British Airways or Virgin Atlantic direct flight to London.

Day 15 London

Arrival at London Heathrow Airport where our staff will greet you and transfer you to Titan transport for your journey home to your front door.
