The islands of Florida and the Caribbean enchant with their scenic beauty, laid back rhythms, enthralling heritage and the warmth of their welcome. Escape the UK winter and join us aboard the excellent Norwegian Sun for a sunshine-packed cruise holiday, walking in the footsteps of Hemingway in the Florida Keys and on the soft pink sands of Barbados, exploring the natural splendour of St Lucia and Dominica, and discovering the charm of St Thomas and St Maarten, the tiny island divided in two. There is plenty of time too to relax and enjoy the exceptional amenities of the ship, from its 14 restaurants to its spa centre and show lounge, making it a spectacular destination in its own right.
Today we enjoy a full day’s visit to the fabulous Key West, the southernmost city in the Continental US. We take the conch train, a trolley tour, which explores the island and affords views of ornate Victorian mansions, tin-roofed conch houses and many historical sights. This afternoon we visit Ernest Hemingway’s home, located in the very heart of Old Town Key West where the Noble Prize winner lived and wrote with his many cats for more than ten years. We return to our hotel in the late afternoon.
