Enjoy the Caribbean idyll of Trinidad and Tobago
Kieran John O’Cuneen is a former Ambassador of the Commission of the European Union. He served as Ambassador in Angola and Swaziland and in the Caribbean, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago and the six islands of the Netherland Antilles. While there he applied his studies in sociology to the transatlantic slave trade and its role in the peopling of the Americas and the islands of the Caribbean.
David has studied birds all of his life. After obtaining a BSc in Zoology at Durham University and a PhD in Zoology at Manchester he became Professor at Nottingham University. He has served on the Scientific Committee of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and the councils for both the RSPB and the British Ornithologist’s Union.
Dr Peter Cattermole has lectured on planetary geology and volcanology at the universities of Sheffield and Wales, worked with NASA on the volcanoes of Mars and travelled widely among the world’s volcanic regions. He has a life-long interest in observational astronomy, having appeared regularly on BBC4’s Sky at Night with Patrick Moore.
