Explore spectacular Tanzania on a Titan Travel touring holiday
Mount Kilimanjaro
Snow-capped Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest mountain and one of the most popular attractions in the country. Towering 19,336 ft high, the peak provides a spectacular backdrop as you make your way around the region on your touring holiday.
The area around the mountain is a national park and is home to plenty of wildlife. Head away from the region and you'll come to Arusha, where you'll be able to see animals ranging from buffalos and zebras to wildcats and waterbucks.
Not far from here is Lake Manyara in the spectacular Great Rift Valley. Here, you could spot giraffes, huge flocks of flamingos and even tree-climbing lions.
Serengeti National Park
The vast plains of Serengeti National Park make this a must-visit destination on any Tanzania touring holiday. It is most well-known for the huge annual migration of more than one million wildebeest and hundreds of zebras, which go in search of the seasonal rains every October and November to create what is one of the most awe-inspiring sights on Earth.
You'll be able to go on a big game drive to see the big five along with hyenas, cheetahs and antelopes, as well as hundreds of species of bird - making for the ultimate safari experience.
A visit to Olduvai Gorge is also possible from the oldest of Tanzania's national parks. This impressive geological feature is famous for being the site of excavations uncovering fossilised remains that have shed light on the development of humans over millennia.
Ngorongoro Crater
The immense Ngorongoro Crater forms part of Serengeti and consists of more than 853,000 sq ft of forest, grassland, swamps and more enclosed by walls measuring almost 2,000 ft high. Tens of thousands of animals roam here at any one time, making this the ideal location for a big game drive.
As the world's biggest unbroken and unflooded caldera, this is certainly a sight you will remember for some time - particularly if you visit when the great migration of wildebeest and other animals passes through the area.
Tarangire National Park
Yet more wildlife can be seen at Tarangire National Park, where a huge variety of mammals, reptiles and birds thrive in spite of the dry landscape and long-gone river.
Elephants, gazelles, buffalos, zebras, ostriches, leopards, lions, snakes and more make this a wonderful location for a safari set against the backdrop of mountains and the Masai Steppe before you return to your lodge to relax and unwind.
